It all started in 2019 when Ria was moving into her freshman year dorm. Her dad, an avid foodie, needed a lunch place, and happened upon a small family-owned restaurant: Korean Tofu House. It was love at first bite! Ria had to share this gem with her new friends.
Three years later, Korean Tofu House has become an Our Seasoned Plate staple.
What We Order
Ria and Alayna's go-to is the Dumpling Tofu Soup - extra spicy. You can't go wrong with the melt-in-your mouth soft tofu, savory and punchy broth, and succulent pork dumplings.
Sabica's favorite is the Mixed Tofu Soup - extra spicy, of course. Tender slices of beef, clams, mussels, and shrimp all immersed in the same mouth-watering broth.
Anusha, our resident pseudo-vegetarian, opts for the tofu Bibimbap. This is a customizable option for the picky eaters out there. Anusha makes sure to get her rice bowl with fried tofu, mushrooms, carrots, broccoli, kimchi, cucumber, sesame oil, and teriyaki sauce.

While the main dishes are already worth a trip to KTH, we feel that the true star of the show is the banchan. These all-you-can-eat sides include: scallion pancakes, kimchi (made in house), soy-marinated potatoes, seasoned bean sprouts, and fish cakes.
Cons
Truly we can't think of anything - this place is more than great!
The Final Score
Ultimately, we would give this restaurant and our multiple experiences a 10/10. If you're ever in the U District area, please check this place out (there's a good chance you'll find us there too)!
Let us know if you give this place a try, and comment how many rounds of banchan your table ordered - our record is five!
