Our biggest pull to NOLA was its unique cuisine and culture. Unfortunately, we continually found ourselves at the city's biggest tourist traps, but on our last day we decided to venture out of the city. Our Uber driver, Theresa, asked us how our trip was so far, and we told her we weren't having the best luck with restaurants. She recommended a fried chicken spot that her cousin worked at, called Morrow's. Thanks to Theresa we left New Orleans more than satisfied!
What We Ordered
All four us ordered "Morrow's Fried Chicken", which was only $13. It came with the option of white or dark meat and two sides of our choice. The sides included mac n' cheese, french fries, sweet potato fries, cornbread muffins, and candied yams. For dessert, we ordered peach cobbler and bread pudding.
The fried chicken was absolutely divine. The meat was juicy and tender, while the skin was perfectly spiced, crisp, and not at all greasy. All of the sides were truly delicious, but the mac n' cheese stood out the most. The best part of this side dish was the balance between the different cheeses. The flavors weren't overpowering and the dish itself wasn't heavy.

Even though we were stuffed from the main course, we found room for the desserts. The bread pudding was perfect - it was crispy on the outside, and warm on the inside. The bread was not at all soggy and wasn't overly sweet. The peach cobbler was cozy and the perfect way to end this comforting meal.

Cons
The only downside was the wait time - we waited for almost an hour. But, good things come to those who wait, so it was worth it in the end!
The Final Score
Ultimately, we would give this restaurant and our experience a 10/10. If you find yourself in New Orleans, we highly recommend dining here and indulging in some good fried chicken!
If we were blessed enough to come back, we would love to give the poboys and oysters a try!
Please let us know if you give this place a try!
